        Arrambam - The End

The last little part of work that is remaining in Ajith's Arrambam is set to be completed and one of the actresses in the movie, Taapsee, has reported for duty in Chennai and with this schedule, it's a wrap-up. Ajith has meanwhile left for a little break for Bangalore and it isn't known yet if he would be working for this schedule.

 

Yuvan's music for the movie is expected to be released sometime in September and the expectations from him are high as always. 

 

The team of Arrambam have started opening out to some interviews, and the marketing drive is slowly but surely being commenced. The recent interview on a leading channel was attended by Vishnuvardhan, Arya and producer A.M.Rathnam and they shared a lot of exciting tidbits about the movie. 

 

Arrambam is being targeted as a Diwali release and with Kamal's Vishwaroopam 2 also eyeing the festival of lights, it sure promises to be the big daddy of all clashes if Arrambam and V2 collide.

We are all aware of Thala Ajith’s passion for biking. We had received news from our sources that Thala had bought a brand new BMW bike worth rupees 24 lakhs recently. The actor decided to take the two wheeled monster for a little ride yesterday, riding it all the way from Chennai to Bangaluru via the Salem road. 

A lot of people were delighted watching Ajith cruise past them dressed in a white and red racing gear. It is said that the actor stopped midway for supper in a small roadside hotel in Kattukotai Village. Needless to say, a lot of people gathered around the 'Ultimate Star'. Thala was overjoyed to spend some time with them, taking pictures and signing autographs. Ajith also requested them to have dinner with him in the hotel.

 

News sources say that Ajith had gone to Bengaluru for 

 a little rest. Well, there’s nothing better than starting a break with doing what you love doing.

IOB's core Banking system caught in Technical Glitch!

IOB's core banking system caught in technical glitch

             The Core Banking System (CBS) of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) was affected on Monday due to “complex technological malfunction,” restraining the banking services to its customers. While the transactions were carried out to the extend using the Saturday balance, IOB Chairman and Managing Director M Narendra said that a technical glitch following the Annual Maintenance of the system and the works to take more back up on Sunday, said Narendra.

This has affected the core banking services and the ATM services of the Bank to an extend. “There was some problem related to the annual maintenance and taking the back up, which was carried out on Sunday. It is yet to get complete recovery. They are trying to get it done by tomorrow,” Narendra. The Bank has 3,000 branches and a little over 2000 ATMs.

“We have informed all our branches to give the services to the extend required through the last Saturday balance,” he said.Similarly, the customers of IOB were not able to withdraw money from the IOB ATMs, since the updation of the transaction was not working. However, the IOB customers could redeem money from the ATMs of any other Bank and the customers of other banks could withdraw money from IOB ATMs.Meanwhile, the Bank has appointed Ernst & Young as consultant to shift its Core Banking System (CBS) from an individual platform to Oracle base, said Narendra.

It has to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) and select a suitable vendor to change to the new version of core banking. It would take around 18-20 months after selecting the vendor, to shift to the new CBS platform. At present, the Bank is running the CBS on an in-house platform.

It may be noted that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) and some other banks to shift from its existing Core Banking System (CBS) platform to an Oracle based platform as part of integrating data from various banks through an automated data flow system.

Since most of the banks are on Oracle platform, the rest of the banks were asked to migrate, said an official from IOB during May, 2012. A few banks including IOB, Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank were using individual platforms at the time.

This came at a time when IOB was planning to go for a joint venture with IT firms to sell its in-house softwares to other Banks. The Bank freezed its JV plans with the RBI recommendation, but is still considering options to capitalise on the softwares developed by it. “complex technological malfunction,” restraining the banking services to its customers.

The team of Arrambam comprising Director Vishnuvardhan, Arya, cinematographer Om Prakash and producer A.M.Rathnam recently appeared on a prominent television channel to share some exciting and hitherto unknown information about this Ajith starrer.

 

Rathnam was proud when he said that Arya had felt Arrambam was a modern version of Shankar's Indian. Vishnuvardhan was very guarded about the plot of the movie but when prodded further, he said that Arrambam is about the beginning of a struggle to succeed. He vouched for an energetic performance from Ajith and referred to him as 'Man Of Steel', hinting at all the surgeries that Thala had undergone in his life. Vishnu also had good words to say about Arya's improving range with every passing movie. 

 

Yuvan had composed some of the songs in Arrambam in just about 5 minutes it seems and the director reminisced about the great rapport that he shares with the ace composer, who also happens to be his school junior.

 

Arrambam is expected to release somewhere in October or November and the trailer, music will be launched in the coming weeks.

          Looks like Ajith fans will get a taste of Arrambam and a sneak preview of what is in the making even before the movie's release. A fan club announcement in Twitter revealed that behind the scenes of Arrambam will be shown on Java TV as an Independence Day special. "Thala's #Arrambam making on jaya tv for independence day (Aug 15th). don't miss it." - the tweet read.

Meanwhile, it is also learnt from official sources that Arrambam's television rights are brought over by Java TV. The much-anticipated Ajith flick is directed by Vishnuvardhan and also has Nayan, Arya and Taapsee in the lead with Yuvan Shankar's music.

identify the surface by just
looking at it. So, how do we
determine with any amount of
certainty what type of Mirror we
are looking at?

CONDUCT THIS SIMPLE TEST:
Place the tip of your fingernail
against the reflective surface and
if there is a GAP between your
fingernail and the image of the
nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.
However, if your fingernail
DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of
your nail, then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-
WAY MIRROR! (There may be
someone seeing you from the
other side). So remember, every
time you see a mirror, do the
"fingernail test." It doesn't cost
you anything. It is simple to do.
This is a really good thing to do.
The reason there is a gap on a
real mirror, is because the silver is
on the back of the mirror UNDER
the glass.
Whereas with a two-way mirror,
the silver is on the surface. Keep it
in mind! Make sure and check
every time you enter in hotel
rooms.

Taapsee Pannu has a full-fledged role as a journalist in the Ajith - Arya starrer, Arrambam and she cherishes some fond memories of Thala. In a recent interview, she opened up about a few of her experiences. 

"Ajith Sir is a very family oriented person and doesn't bother much about his cinema image and mass popularity. He concentrates on spending a lot of time with his family. During the early stages of Arrambam, I was misquoted by the press on one occasion and was feeling very let down as I was getting brickbats in the Twitter space. Ajith Sir then advised me that this is all part and parcel of the industry and that people will forget this episode once the teaser of the movie is out"

Taapsee felt rejuvenated by Ajith's words and as Ajith said, the teaser and the subsequent release of attractive stills from the movie, are domimating the public's talk about Arrambam currently.
